Rachel Copen, MS, CPRP, LPC has held a license as a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Pennsylvania since 2012.  After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Mary Washington College, in Virginia, Rachel began working with suicidal survivors of severe trauma in an inpatient program called “The Center” in Washington, DC. Rachel decided to further her knowledge of psychology and trauma and obtained a master’s degree in Clinical and Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Trauma Studies from Chestnut Hill College.  She has worked with folks with severe mental illness in a day program setting and has managed community mental health outpatient programs since 2011.  Before coming to Magellan, Rachel served as the Director of Counseling Services of Philadelphia’s rape crisis center for six and a half years and served as the Acting Co-Executive Director for the last 15 months of that time.  When Rachel is not working, you can find her sharing a laugh with her family and friends.  She enjoys hiking, is an avid runner, and became a 200 hour Registered Yoga Instructor in 2021.
